The SkyMiles Medallion program, for those who travel with even greater frequency, offers exclusive perks and advantages. Delta mileage can be used at any time as SkyMiles never expire.

Hand baggage allowance

One piece of hand baggage plus a personal item like a laptop or handbag is allowed. Both items must fit in the Carry-on Baggage Check at the check-in counters.

Checked baggage allowance

The Delta Air Lines baggage allowance depends on the class of travel of each passenger and also the flight destination:

• BusinessElite, First, Business - 2 pieces of free baggage (exception: 3 pieces of free baggage on flights between United States and Canada or Brazil)
• Maximum dimensions of free baggage: 157cm (62in) (total of length, width, height); Maximum weight: 32kg (70lbs)
• Economy - 1 piece of free baggage (exception: extra fee to check bag on flights within the US and Canada or US/Canada to the Caribbean and Bermuda)
• Maximum dimensions of free baggage: 157cm (62in) (total of length, width, height); Maximum weight: 23kg (50lbs)

Extra bags are allowed for an additional price. 24 hours before scheduled flight departure you can check bags online to save time at the airport. Bags exceeding the free weight allowance will be subject to an overweight baggage charge.
