September is here and that officially means the end of the summer season, and even more depressing, the end of summer vacation. If you’re like us, you may be experiencing symptoms like lethargy, insomnia, drowsiness and lack of the ability to concentrate (as well as skin depigmentation caused by the change from UV rays to overhead fluorescents). If you haven’t self-diagnosed yourself already, we know exactly what ailment you’re suffering from…PVD (post-vacation depression).
From the eDreams blog we present our best post-holiday blues treatment plan…perfectly described with GIFs.
- Gently ease yourself back into the working world
- Take advantage of 3-day weekends and holidays to plan a getaway
- Blast the tunes and rock out on your way to your 9 to 5
- Bring out your inner yogi and concentrate on breathing in and breathing out
- Make after-work plans to keep the vacation spirit alive. Dance party anyone?
- Treat yourself every once in a while
- Keep doing the things you did during the summer to make the back to the real world transition easier to handle
- Hit the gym to load up on endorphins
- Go shopping to revamp your wardrobe for the new season
- Eat well because GREAT NEWS, no one will be tagging you in a swimsuit anymore
- Do a little DIY to get ready for next summer’s BBQ bashes
- Rejoice! because at least you have a job…
- Stop posting vacation pictures because, quite frankly, your friends have had enough
- Concentrate on planning your next trip
– New seasons of your favorite shows are premiering so sit back and relax with an old favorite or get addicted to a new one
– Keep your mind active with new classes. How about some singing lessons?
- Get caught up on all the office gossip that you missed while you were on holiday
- Boast about your recent vacation to the office show-offs
- Think about your furbaby! He/she is happy you’re back!…maybe
- Having your family close again isn’t so bad, is it?
- Do you have Christmas plans yet? It’s not that far away you know…
- Get back together with friends you’ve missed while away
