Love is in the air everywhere I look around
Love is in the air every sight and every sound
Do you think travelling by plane encourages romance to take flight? According to a recent survey we did to 11,000 travellers from 8 different countries, the answer is yes.
Be it for the close proximity to new people or the confidence on the “spirit holiday”, our survey reveals that love is indeed in the air and sometimes there are some connections that go beyond simply flirting…
As a mere example, 440 of the 11,000 respondents went on to marry someone they met on a flight!
The eDreams “Love is in the air” study surveyed travellers from United Kingom, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Sweden and Norway and found that:
- 10% of British passengers have ended up in a relationship with someone they met on a flight or at an airport.
- 24% of passengers admitting they have been attracted to a member of the cabin crew.
- 87% of Spaniards claim to have been chatted up by a fellow passenger.
- Italians are most likely (41%) to embark on a ‘mile high’ fling.
